About Us

At SmartSciFrika, our three focus areas are to:

• Connect with and tell the stories of leading African scientists across the continent of Africa. This is because the impactful work that African scientists are doing are not adequately displayed for the whole world to see. Hence, the need for us to promote their work through our growing media presence.
• Provide mentorship for early career African scientists. We do this by connecting early career scientists with leading career scientists. This way, the former is able to learn the rope fast and quickly kickstart their career.
• Lastly, we are brewing the younger generation at the Secondary school levels through what we call the Catch Them Young Program.

Our Vision is to build an empowered African science community by bridging the gap between theory and practice so that every scientist can touch lives through their work.

Our Mission is to mentor and empower African early career scientists, especially women by providing a platform to develop cutting-edge technological skills and a renewed mindset to conduct quality research in Africa.
